The Silver River Museum showcases Florida’s natural and cultural history through fascinating exhibits, artifacts, and hands-on displays! Operated by Marion County Public Schools, the museum is open weekends and most holidays from 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission is $2 per person, and children under six are free!
About the museum
The museum is comprised of two exhibit areas. The Main Museum features exhibits related to Florida geology, paleontology, archaeology and natural history. The History Wing’s exhibits pertain to Marion County and Florida history.
Please note: The museum is not inside the main section of Silver Springs State Park. The Silver River Museum is located within the park’s campground entrance, at 1445 NE 58th Avenue, Ocala, Florida, 34488.
